proved deadly for an early-morning commuter today. the crash involving a big-rig carrier and aid ucsf shuttle bus at intersection of octavia and oak, happened before 6:00 this morning. a man in his 40s was actually ejected from the shuttle bus and somehow, pinned underneath the rig where he was sad lid pronounced dead. a woman that lives in the area say accidents happen here often and she feels the timed stoplights are partly to blame. >> the lights are timed in such a way on octavia, that traffic is traveling 50 miles an hour. once they build up speed coming off the freeway, they have the lights timed all green. >> three other shuttle passengers were taken to nearby hospitals with minor injuries and it's not clear if anyone was wearing a seatbelt at the time. the investigation is just beginning. >>> a minor traffic accident turned into a major headache near san jose state this afternoon. a car crashed into a home rupturing gas line. about 25 san jose firefighters were called to the scene as well as the local hazmat team and a crew from pg&e. five homes were evacuated as the gas line

-form and we'll see more drizzle. the big story throughout the week is this record-breaking heat wave. 90s and 100s under the strong ridge of high pressure to the east. the reason we can't warm up we have this dip in the jet stream, tossing some clouds our way and showers up on the north coast. until this last system clears by, monday into tuesday, our temperatures are going to stay mild to start the work week with areas of drizzle. so more cool temperatures relatively speaking for july through tuesday. then starting midweek we'll see the low clouds hang out on the coast, the marine layer is going to get squished down. 70s and 80s. then we're talking 90s for our inland valleys by the time you roll into next weekend. look for clouds to reform on the coast and misty skies and parts of the monday morning commute. tomorrow's highs a little warmer than today. we'll call for mostly sunny skies, at least around the south bay. should be in the mid to upper 70s around san jose. 65 for san francisco, not all that bad with partly cloudy skies toward the east bay highs in the 70s, closer to 80s, up to
